What vaccinations does my pet need?
All pets must be up to date with their vaccinations. This includes the Canine Cough (Kennel Cough) vaccination for dogs. We have a two week stand down from the date of all vaccination. This means if your pet is due for their vaccination, it must be done at least two weeks prior to boarding. Please be aware vaccinated dogs can still contract Canine Cough. The vaccine will either prevent or reduce the severity of symptoms. Please bring your vaccination book as we need to sight it on arrival.

What is Canine Cough / Kennel Cough?
Canine Cough (Kennel cough) in dogs is a contagious upper respiratory infection which can be caused by bacteria or a virus. The lining of the trachea and bronchi become inflamed and when air passes over them it results in an irritating cough. It transmits to other dogs through airborne organisms or dog to dog contact. The risk of contracting Canine Cough is higher when dogs are together in groups, at the park, groomers, vets or boarding kennels. One infected dog can soon infect many others even if it is not showing any symptoms at the time. Vaccinated dogs can still develop Canine Cough, although the symptoms, in most cases are mild.
